Totorial:

Step 1: Download mIRC and install it.

Download it from...
mIRC: Download mIRC
Don't worry its free.

Step 2: Once installed click File then select server.


Step 3: Click Add on the window that pops up

Step 4: Input this information then click Add at the bottom.



Step 5: When that screen closes click connect on the left and enter your user information.


Step 6: Click ok then click connect (the lightning bolt symbol)

Final Step: When you see this screen type #Nexgenwars then click join and chat away. =D Enjoy

This is a tutorial for using the popular IRC Firefox Addon, Chatzilla. You use it in conjunction with Mozilla Firefox, so you don't need a whole new client.

Step 1: Download ChatZilla from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16



Step 2: A small window will appear. Click on "Install Now" to start the installation.



When it's done installing, Click on "Restart Firefox"



Step 3 To join the IRC, type irc://irc.criten.net into the address bar in Firefox.

Step 4 Your ChatZilla will open a new window, as such, which will start connecting you to the criten server.



Step 4 Once it's done joining, click on IRC, then on "Join Channel".



A new Window will appear. In the top box, search for #nexgenwars. You will see how many users are currently active in the channel. Click once on the #nexgenwars IRC, and click on "Join".



Congratulations! You are now connected to the NGW IRC server!

HydraIRC Tutorial:

Step 1- Download and Install HydraIRC
Go to http://www.hydrairc.com/index.php?page=downloads

Scroll down and click HydraIRC.exe, the first file listed.

Run the file once it is downloaded.


Step 2- Join Server and Channel

Click File, then New Server.



In the URI box, type IRC://irc.criten.net. Click OK.



Once you have finished joining, type /join #Nexgenwars to join the channel.

I think the IRC is pretty popular today.

I FINALLY was able to get on the IRC todays. I hate Comcast, as a side note.

Now fun times abound!
