Lesser known classics

I think I'll have to mod my Saturn, a lot of the games are far too expensive (like Silvergun). And wasn't Silvergun only released in Japan? I wouldn't be able to play it unless I modded it.

I'm sure that's because no one has ever heard of Contra. Or it could be because everyone has heard of Contra.

Only in Japan, it's worth the dosh. I've had it for over 6 years and it's still played.
Although not a better shooter, I reckon it's a superior game to it's sequel Ikaruga.

It was actually a piece of crap looking back at it. We were all wowed by the graphics and failed to realize it was decent at best.

At the time it didn't look like anything that had come before it. And to top it off it was actually a fun game. Regardless it could hardly be called a lesser known game.
