Nope, they updated it. Better graphics, better sound etc... I'm pretty sure everything else stayed the same though (levels, gameplay etc...)

My onion is - it's a steaming pile, it'll gather dust and you won't play it.
Alien Vs Predator has aged really badly and the producers Rebellion made a far superior PC edition.

Honestly don't bother.

On a curious note, there are collectors of it in Japan, I worked for an importers in the UK when I was a student and we used to ship games out to some bloke in Kyoto!

PS - Ed Cybermorph is really shite, it was the pack in game in the UK.
Worse than Sega's Megadrive gift of Altered Beast, the buggers could have stuck Sonic in
errr i'm not thinking of buying it, I own and have done since 1994 lol. At the time no one had seen graphics like it but it got dated very quick due to playstation and saturn.

The Atari Jaguar is the PS3 of the 90's.

never seen one in real life, but I was always interested, out of curiousity, in the system. The name was good too, JAGUAR !!

Wouldn't have been an issue, but the Saturn puts it to shame.
I guess so, I'm not sure about the details, but I recall that it wasn't a real 64bit system.

Really is there any need for that many buttons, lucky enough most of them you didnt need to use in most games. Imagine having to utilize all those buttons while playing the 2d rayman lol.

I bought Rayman, Doom, Atari Karts, Alien Vs Preditor, Tempest 2000, Primal Rage, Skyhammer and Ultra Vortek.

The system claimed to be 64 bit ? anyone know more info on it, or could talk specs about it I'd like that.
Looking at the games it was bearly better than the Snes, sometimes looking it's eqaul and not a generation ahead.
Its actually 32/64 bit, since the processors were split up differently.

The Jaguar was actaully a pretty powerful system (probably about as good as Playstation), but sadly we never got to see its true power. Atari was pretty low on dough for game development and thus never took full advantage of it, and thus they tried to sneak away this "next gen system" by making games that, for the most part, barely looked better than SNES, and didn't look as good as 3D0, which was not really a better system in terms of power, but had a lot better money, etc. backing it for better game development to take advantage of the hardware.

And some consider its version of Doom superior to even the PC version. I doubt overall that's true since PC can use user made content, etc. so I assume they are probably talking about graphics or sound.

Only games I played were Cybermorph and Aliens Vs. Predator, they were pretty good I guess, at least for the time, but I have a feeling that they were, along with Rayman and Tempest 2000, the top dogs of the system, because some of the games like Kasumi Ninja and Atari Karts just look like crap.

Yeah, since it was Atari's last console, I wouldn't mind owning one, but you know how that goes...

Just been playing Rayman on it, it runs really well eqaul to playstations version, but as soon as you play any 3d games it falls flats and looks way blocky.
I have a feeling Atari didnt know how 3D gaming would take off and didnt build the console with the focus of 3D gaming.
