I've got a TG 16 and about 10 games. My favorites were ninja spirit, R-type, and Splatter House. Oh man i can't believe nobody has redone that game!! There was a baseball game that was awesome too. I always wanted a Turbo xpress though.

Sorry mate, work's been hectic so haven't been on for a few days.

I'd actually get a Japanese PC Engine, preferably a Duo. US CD games will work on it and most card games have no language barrier. Plus there's shit loads more games available in Japan. The more rare titles can go for silly money, but most are affordable.

Recommended:

Splatterhouse
Soldier Blade
Gunhed
Dragon Spirit
Dracula X (expensive as hell - Jap exclusive on the Duo, better than PSP remake)
Jackie Chan
Gomola Speed
Forgotten Worlds (arcade perfect - though I still prefer the Megadrive version)
Faussete Armour
Gradius
Metal Stoker (similar to Granada on the Megadrive)
Ninja Warriors (not like the shitty Mega CD conversion)
Bloody Wolf
Coryoon (expensive!)
Don Doko Don
Final Soldier
and shit loads of others...let me get my thinking hat on

Better late than never. Thanks for the input. The only problem with finding a Turbo Duo/PC Engine on Ebay is too many of them come from buy it now stores (usually priced around $200-$300 or something stupid like that). I'm hoping to find a good auction soon, until then though I need to get some money.

If you can get a cheap Turbo Duo, pick up a normal Japanese PC Engine, they usually go cheap. That will save you money and allow you to have access to all games (not sure about Arcade card games though).

Add Shinobi to the list also, pretty close to the arcade from what I remember, though I'm sure they took out close combat attacks for some stupid reason

Others:
Parasol Stars
Override
Pac-land
Legendary Axe 1&2
