How good are you actually Power?

I was never really that good. But I was the best in my group.

I used to rank world wide in Goldeneye speed runs years ago. I'm not sure where I'd stand today with my best times.

I've only been to one tournament but together by the university I attended. Out of the 30 to 40 people there me and my sister ranked 1st and 2nd. Hell, there was a time when we were doing team death match and I had to take a piss. So in the middle of the game I left and my sibling was able to fend off the 3rd and 4th ranked guys from that tournament and increased the gap in our scores by the time I returned. That's with my character sitting there being an easy target mind you.

I was also into the GameShark scene too. The Cradle in multiplayer is just awesome. Nothing like picking off another player half way across the stage with a lucky shot from a DD44. Other fun stuff was all guns in multiplayer, infinite ammo with no reloading and even more multiplayer stages and expanded stages.

Yeah Power is right, you can run past Natalia. I'm talking about before I started glorious speed running though. Also, a good way to deal with the guys at the side is to throw you mines on each side. As soon as someone breaks through there, denote them. If they walk down there again (you should see them if you are looking back and forth) you'll have no problem with it.

Control was one of my favourite levels to show off with. All of my friends couldn't beat it while I was able to do it no problem.

I never officially registered on the-elite.net, but a few of my scores were tied for world records, or just a second or two behind, stil giving me a respectable ranking. I could never run the frigate though. I could never get throwing the bug down.

I would love to see a re-release with some updated graphics and online multiplayer for XBLA.

Wait a minute, I still have an N64 collecting dust somewhere. I'm gonna play some goldeneye tomorrow. Whoohooo!
I need to show my old consoles some more love. The only one getting some so far is the Megadrive for my annual Sonic-fest.

What is the world record on the whole game speedrun?

It depends on what you are looking for. The fastest single run speed runs (all levels are attempted once before moving on) is 19:33, 34:41 and 42:27 for Agent, Secret Agent and 00 Agent. The fastest run compiled by adding up all of a players high scores are 20:21, 25:54 and 29:55 on Agent, Secret Agent and 00 Agent.
