Sucks sorry for the loss, Its funny how good the old consoles were I never had a console fail until this gen

The old consoles didn't have a "failure rate"

You had the odd one in a thousand that didn't work after a year or so.

The slim was way better for not failing as much, for some reason I preffered the bulkier version.

The slim had some overheating issues, my slim overheated and when it did it restarted and it did it constantly, the bulkier one was much better in my onion

Isnt there yet another model of ps2, a slimline with internal power ent to have no overheating problems ?
I need another ps2 mine bust, and my ps3 is a 40gb one

The Slim PS2s do great on heat if you stand them vertically and not lay them against something.

From the sounds of it, I think it may not be your 64 but your power supply for it. Try a friend's out on your system and see if it comes out and boots the games.
