SNES vs. Genesis - Your POV

This might sound weird but I like SMB1+3 better than sonic 2+3, but I like sonic 2+3 better than super mario world.

SNES era Mario only had Super Mario World... Mega Drive era had Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Me and Thom share in our opinion of SMW and Sonic really doesn't stand a chance against it.

I had both and prefer the SNES, Mario World was awsome as well as Zelda link to the past, loved the tennis on it too. Super Metroid was awsome also. Oh yeah, I had the Mario Kart also, soo much fun playing that game.
The Genesis was good too, I had Sonic, super monaco grand prix, golden axe and I don't remember the other games.

For me, SMB 1+2j are great, but the All-Stars versions are broken.

Great as SMW is, Sonic 3+Knuckles+2 are just way too fun, and replayable.

I had both SNES and Genesis, and I have to say, Genesis pwns the sh*t out of the SNES. I would play Sonic 1,2,3 forever.

Snes, thats the System I owned at the time, only recently got a Genesis so havnt been blowned away by like i was with the snes.

Aleterd Beast, Streets of Rage, Desert Storm, Outrun and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 were Fav geneisis games.

Give me a Genesis any day of the week.

Although I hate the lack of saving in most games, or even passwords in a lot of cases. I mean, the SNES had a lot of games without a save feature too, I know, but it seems more widespread on the Genesis. I have to sit there with a notepad to write down these long-ass passwords in, for example, ToeJam and Earl II, or even worse, play through a sweet game like Dynamite Headdy in one sitting.

Aaah, the good old SNES and Megadrive, great consoles, still have both of them. I ended up buying more games for the Megadrive, so I guess that's my winner. But it's hard to really pick one. It's like choosing between your children...
