Anyone else ever play Hype: The Time Quest?

This game was the shit... it's still one of my favorites.

It's was kinda hard, had a colorful world, was perfectly paced, had GREAT voice acting, GREAT music... people compared it to Zelda but it was different... but good.

I seriously love this game. Check your library to try it out... or get it offline if you like adventure games.

When I saw the title I literally thought you were talking about a parody of OoT.

I have magazine from many, many years ago with previews of this game in it. I never got it though.

That's what I thought until I did some research and found out it was made by the toy company playmobil. so they aren't technically legos, but pretty close.

It sort of has that with the time traveling deal ...

The time traveling works like this.

Once you have energerized the Sword of peace by collecting sky jewels on a dragon demi god you can strike a sundial and travel to one of the 4 eras of King Taskan I, II, III, IV... they use it cleverly as well.

It's not a kiddie game. It is way to hard to be a kiddie game.

As far as comparing to LOZ you have less items but you have more magic abilities.

More platforming... a tad bit less puzzles but they are harder than most all of Zeldas...

Combat isn't as good as Zelda but it's pretty good. Enemies AI can be tricky sometimes... they set traps... For example wolves will attack you and attempt to be 180 degrees around you.

The world is a bit smaller but it works great.

Not as many sidequests.

Bosses are harder. Maybe cooler... that's a big opinion to put out there.

30 hours or so to beat.
