| Ok, for some reason, my computer found a virus in my bioshock.exe file. So, I told it to clean it, which I thought made an attempt to clean the file, not delete it, but I found out that it just deleted the file. I really wanna get the game reinstalled, but which files do I need to save so when I do, I can keep my game save. Or, should I try installing it onto the other partition of my drive, and then just copying over the .exe file? And one more question I've been wanting to ask for a while, does anyone have a good bioshock no cd crack? I've looked around, and downloaded two, but when I scanned em both had these pretty bad trojan horses. ![]() I really hate having to play a game with a CD in though. I've also tried making an image of the CD, which didn't work, the game asked me to insert a real copy of the game, not a backup disk, it knew somehow. Any help? Edit: I found the save game files, they're in your documents. I still need help with a good CD crack.

| No cd cracks out yet. Take it back, buy the 360 version. Less bugs. |

No 360. ![]() If not, that's the one I'd own. ACHIEVEMENTS! during my reinstall it still said bioshock.exe is a virus, I just told it to ignore it this time since it's fresh off the CD

| If there's a virus on the disc, you should be able to take it back to where you got it. Otherwise, call 2K.

| I figured out semi what's going on though http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1031379048 other people are having the same problem, it's just my antivirus updated yesterday, and I guess it finds something in bioshock that it think is a virus, I guess I just gotta wait it out. whatever, I uninstalled the game first, so it didn't really affect anything about it. I got the disc a week ago, I already beat the game actually, but apparently it's just my antivirus and the update it had yesterday, hopefully they'll realize, and update tomorrow or later today.

| It's not a virus, it's whore-rom. I wouldn't bother with the PC version until 2K removes the securom, or somebody cracks it. But I've been following the progress and it's not looking good. They crafted the file well. Pretty much all the copy-protection is done in a seperate file, but Bioshock.exe doesn't call that file, Windows does, so it makes it a nightmare to remove the call. Also, the call is heavily embedded, and people have removed it, but then it fails to work at all.

| It's on the 2k forums though, so it should be resolved soon. I'm gonna reinstall, and disable my antivirus during that, and then add it to my ignore list. http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9211 Quote:
:]. I'm just gonna put it on my ignore list.

| this isn't in how to beat a game, it's fixing a retarded windows problem. ![]() Ok, so even with my antivirus turned off, the game can't update.... And during the install, if the game can't update, it won't effing install. UGH.

| Heal: Heal healable files, delete unhealable files. That's what AVG says about healing files.
