There are plenty of console exclusive RPG's and there are a handful of MMORPG's on consoles (FF XI comes to mind). Quote:
This is indeed true, but not many of your examples. |

Almost all (if not all?) of the Sims games on consoles have been extremely watered down goal oriented games rather than free flowing sims. Spore DS is promising, but most reports imply it'll just be the puzzle modes of the game.

| I love RTSs so it's worth it for me. Plus Modding.

| With me, there are genres of games that are good on PCs, and others that are good on consoles: Good on PC: FPS - Easier to control with mouse + wsda then a joystick IMO. RTS - Mouse is a lot easier to use. RPG - More keys = more assignment of actions = easier then lists of commands. Easier on Consoles: Sports - Sports with keyboard -> DO NOT WANT Music-based - Guitar Hero and Rock Band, need I say more? Platformer - More quick-fire button hitting, SMW on a keyboard sucks. It really depends on taste.

| Well, since those games come with their own controllers, they could come with their own controllers for PC versions just as easily...

| Actually, I own a crappy PC-exclusive ripoff of DDR.

| Comparing the PC versions of Warcraft, Starcraft and the Sims to the consoles versions is a total and complete joke. On the PC, these 3 games are practically legendary in terms of their appeal, sales, longevity, gameplay, etc. Starcraft can almost be considered a national sport in Korea. The Sims franchise is one of the most successful on any platform. The console versions are crap in every respect. |

StarCraft 64 80 vs StartCraft PC 88 The Sims (GC) 85 vs The Sims PC 92 While the console versions are a bit different, they apparently aren't entirely crap. There are some really trashy PC-to-console ports (Unreal Tournament on the PS2 comes to mind despite having keyboard/mouse controls). |

| I really like PC games and I was really into it many years ago when I had a mid to high grade PC. But It seems like the technology moves too fast and costs too much to keep up with. If I bought a Crysis playing rig today there would probably be a game that would cause it to chug and hiccup by this time next year. I like the reliability of consoles, I'm guaranteed to be able to play the best looking and newest games on the market for the next 5 yrs or so for only 300-500 dollars, depending on what console you own. But I really miss all the RTS and RPGs I used to play on the PC. I just reinstalled Baldur's Gate II and I hope to build me a new PC in another year so I can experience all the PC games that have come out in the past few years. |

| RTS's is more then enough for me. I can't spend an entire day playing consoles (unless I have friends over) like I can on Strategy games. And mods, CS anyone?
