(That's am AMAZING deal, if you have a need for that kind of bandwidth - That's getting almost close to the speed of a T3!) |

Nice... thats actually a decent price. Sidethough: I hate it when people don't use the right b's when they talk of bandwidth. |

As for upgrading your powersupply, be very careful. A lot of power supplies just are not that reliable, especially the cheaper generic ones. I'd actually pay more for a lower rated power suppply than a higher wattage one from a brand I've never heard of. |

| I'm guessing that the Northwood 2.4Ghz CPU as well, I have one. Got that baby overclocked to 3.0 on AIR! Here is a good video card: XFX GeForce 7950 GT (AGP 8x, 512MB, Graphics Card MINT on eBay, also Graphics Video Cards, Graphics, Video TV Cards, Desktop PC Components, Computing (end time 28-Dec-07 18:49:27 GMT) I didn't even know they had the 7950s in AGP form, last time I read up on AGP bus, it was just the 7800GTX. (Don't keep up with Ati) What the person above me said though, get a GOOD lower rated power supply (450/500W) instead of opting for a cheaper one. Before you buy your PSU, post it here. |

The Geforce 7800GTX was PCI-E only. There was a Geforce7800GS that used an AGP slot. nVidia surprisingly has a naming convention worse than Intel... Last edited by Power666; December 27th, 2007 at 10:09 AM. Reason: Typo fixo |

| I just took a chance with the Northwood, I figured I had better odds with it being a Northwood (3 out of 4) and I thought the 845 chipset was 400Mhz bus? Guess I should look things up, rather than guess. I do stand corrected on the 7800GS though, I guess since I have a 7800GTX in my laptop, it confuzzled me. ![]() Now that I think about it, I can't even remember which version of the Northwood I currently have. It's been rather good to me so far, got it as a freebe. |
