Default Upgrade Advice?

My PC spec is a follows.....

Pentium 4 2.4ghz
512 Ram
130 GB Hard rive
My motherboard is a TriGem IM845G

Okay, I don't intend to upgrade my computer ie new processor, power supply) But I'm getting a new graphics card (mine is only a Nvidia Ge-force 400 mx) so i need an upgrade because I cant even play Nintendo 64 emulated games with it.
So my question is what graphics card would anyone recommend ? (my budget is 80 pound)

I believe there may be some graphics not compatible with my pc, I cant seem to find out what is and isn't compatible with mine, if anyone can make me a good recommendation I'd appreciate it thanks

As noted, your powersupply could be an issue. Also, a memory upgrade would likely do you a world of good. To know what's compatible with your system, you'll need to find out if you have a PCI Express or AGP slot for video.

Actually you're stuck with AGP graphics which limits your upgrade options if you only want a new video card. I can tell since you systems uses the Intel 845 chipset. From that angle, I think a Radeon HD 2600 is the best you can get but I think that's outside of your budget. A Radeon X1600 would be a good choice and I think with in your budget

One the bright side of things, either of those cards shouldn't require you to get a new power supply.

My power supply is 300W, I have just upgraded to 1278mb of ram, if i get this card what are my limits, can you name an example of any games I'd be able to run

Edit : Sapphire Radeon graphic card HD 2600 PRO 512Mb 8X AGP on eBay, also Graphics Video Cards, Graphics, Video TV Cards, Desktop PC Components, Computing (end time 22-Dec-07 16:01:10 GMT) would this work on my pc ?

You can get an X1950 Pro 512mb for about £90, maybe cheaper. You could possibly run Crysis on Low, but I wouldn't count on it.

Don't you think it would be wise to get a new harddrive as well? 130 giggs is pretty low these days.

Ok, that should be enough.
