| Knowing blizzard, I bet my Radeon HD 3870 will be able to play sc2 when it eventually comes out. I've never known a blizzard game that rapes fairly old gfx cards

| Lets see, from NewEgg I've got a Athlon X2 6400+ Black Edition, 4 GB of PC6400 RAM, Radeon HD 3850 w/512 MB of RAM, Gigabyte motherboard, 320 GB hard drive, SATA DVD burner, case, and 500W power supply for $744. If I really wanted to, I could cut some corners on quality and dip well below $700 like that eBay auction did.

| Oh, oh, oh. I thought those were individual parts. Ok. Sorry for looking dumb...

| They were individual parts, I just selected them and summed up the prices for you. It was a bit faster in CPU speed and a hell of a lot faster in the graphics department. I used better quality stuff to from what I can tell.

| Would it be worth it first to buy the eBay computer and then upgrade what I need?

| No, you'd wind up spending even more money. As far as price/performance it never pays to upgrade later unless that part you want to upgrade to hasn't even been released yet. If that's the case, you usually go for the bottom of the barrel substitutes until then to save money.

| Motherboard was from a brand I wouldn't recommend. The power supply manufacturer wasn't list, so I highly suspect it was from a no-name company and is utterly unreliable. The video card is kinda old and is at the bottom in terms of performance. RAM speed wasn't listed (800 Mhz memory is good with the CPU). And for $45 more than that eBay listing, I improved the brands used, got a faster CPU and a hell of a lot faster video card. Trust me, avoid that eBay listing.
