I'm sensing a little negative bias in this thread. For kicks, Google receives about 60% of the advertising revenue through online search engines where as MS/Yahoo combined receive about 30-35%. Should we be kicking Google's door down for being so big and bad?

No because Google don't sell bloated OSs and crappily made consoles. In fact everything I get from Google works, is free and is easy to use.

You asked why people are biased towards Microsoft and not Google. That's why. That's like asking why people don't want a murderer for president and then asking what that has to do with politics.

The point is, people are flipping out over this acquisition, when Google is the nearest one to a monopoly of the search engine market.

I guess if you want to ignore the elephant sitting in the corner of the room, that's your prerogative.

The only one here that's flipping out about it is E6600, but if you've read his opinion in any PC related thread, you'll know why.

Well that elephant gives me free stuff. Also there's only been one person who doesn't want this because it's a monopoly. I couldn't care less about this, as I said, because even with those two joining up Google still kicks their arse.

Yes. Free stuff is cool. And google kicks both Yahoo and MS's cumulative arses. My point still stands though, to think this is the beginning of a monopoly is fairly baseless. And this wasn't meant for your Juno.

Yahoo is rapidly declining in visits, and Microsoft wants to pay like 44 Billion for it? Hell, Youtube gets 10x as many visits yet Google only paid like 3 Billion.

You think that Youtube gets ten times as many visits as Yahoo?

Really?

I think you need to re-examine those statistics you read on a bathroom wall somewhere...
