That's why I don't want it to happen, and if it does happen I hope it bites them back and turns out to be a major disaster.

That would be total success for them. Actually I don't really see the harm in them buying Yahoo... As long as net neutrality is around they can't force us to use any sort of web anything really.

Can you guys stop being XBox fans for a while and look at how dangerous this is?

I'm hoping for a court order that will prevent this from happening. The American economy needs a smaller Microsoft not a larger one.

I didn't mean it in that way.
I just wanted you to look at the situation without thinking "I love Microsoft so I don't mind them taking over the world".
Having a one company monopoly is dangerous and harmful, whether it is Microsoft or any other company.
Competition is what pushes companies to innovate, and thus all of us can benefit.
