Vista is the reason Im thinking of going Ubuntu Linux/Win XP Dual Boot on my next PC. The only reason Im dual booting is for games on XP and also because my girlfriend isn't a computer genius, plus Microsoft Office, which is still IMO the best office application set. I may even boot Windows 98 on another partition so I can enjoy classic Windows and DOS games on the machine, though probably not.

As soon as I get the Beta test invite, I'll sacrifice myself and find out what it's like.

Three reasons I keep Windows XP/Vista:

Yahoo Music (I paid for the stupid thing, so I may as well use it, and sound support is very poor through vmware)

Quicken (Doesn't work through Wine)

Outlook Web Access enhanced interface (only works in IE)

If not for those things, I would be running linux instead of vista and xp.

Talk about handcuffs
I OTOH can switch from any OS to any OS
BTW, Outlook is crap, you are better off using Mozilla Thunderbird
Oh and Music subscription sucks, you should just cancel your subscription with Yahoo! Music.

Yeah right, Outlook destroys Thunderbird. Outlook has such a nicer interface/features. Thunderbird is more comparable to Outlook Express.

Couldn't you just use VirtualBox with their desktop integration tool?

Outlook is the biggest remote hole that ever existed. Very very vulnerable. I don't trust it, and neither does Tim Berners-Lee
Outlook can be easily exploited by email messages that carry malicious attachments, but it looks pretty

Yes, because I've had several attacks get through.

Mozilla Thunderbird is not a replacement for outlook web access.. In fact, they are two completely different things meant for two completely different purposes..

And music subscriptions are actually quite cool. For $7/mo, I have access to all the music I want, without having to swap online or deal with the possibility of getting sued by the RIAA. The price is fine by me for what I get from it.
