Yeah, take a look at the screen where they Marine is weilding a door shut. The lighting there just seems a bit off. The rest of the screens are rather impressive though.

I don't recall the first Alien design to have a completely smooth head, at least not as much as the one in Alien 3.

No no, I agree with the lighting. It looks good, but could be better. I was posting that to show that they do in fact have the ridged heads in this game.

I completely overlooked this thread. This game looks very, very promising!

Aliens is one of my favorite movies of all time. Scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I must have seen it about 20 times by now.

Besides the main story mode, Colonial Marines will offer a four-player co-op mode with each person playing a distinct role in the squad experience.
Best idea ever! Just think, one squad leader, one guy with a motion tracker:

"Movement!"
-"What position?"
"Uuuuhm, can't lock in!"
-"TALK TO ME HUDSON!"
"Uh, multiple signals... they're closing!"
-"Go to infrared people, look sharp!"

I don't coin this phrase too often, but that would be 'epic win'.

Maybe they could have a last man standing match before the co-op and the last man standing should be the commander.

Wow, that does look promising. I was a big fan of AvP2, and I loved the movies growing up. Although Aliens 3 was kind of dumb in a way. But this game looks amazing. I'll probably be getting that one on PC. No console deserves that awsomeness. Theres nothing quite like the sound of a blaring pulse rifle.

Agreed the lighting is off, still looks great.

Important question, where are the smart-guns?!

Alien 3 was great, saying otherwise is wrong - they fucked up the editing by cutting out how they capture the Alien and Paul McGann's scene when he frees it. But it was a great movie that held the themes and images of the series close to its evil black heart.

The dog burster beats stinky dead ox too

The spin offs Res. and AvP were dumb, but fun movies. Yet, I'd love a real back to basics sequel, but probably have to keep dreaming.
