I recommend what these guys recommend.

2) Anti Virus: make sure you have one and keep it updated. Here are some good free ones:
  • Avast! Home Edition
  • AVG Free Edition
  • AntiVir Personal Edition - for Win 2K/XP/ Vista 32bit and 64 bit
  • Comodo AntiVirus - for Windows XP (SP2) / Windows 2000 (SP4 or later)
  • PC Tools AntiVirus Free Edition - forWin 2K/03/XP/Vista
These are better than Symantec/Norton or McAfee because they are free and because they are not so system resource hungry. The recent versions of Symantec/Norton and McAfee have become very bloated. This does not mean they do not work. If you have either of them and are happy with it, stick with them. But whatever you choose remember to Only Run ONE AV!
Of course they do say you can still keep using them if you think they do the job. But I just go with what they recommend since they solved my virus problem a while back.

But if this is the only problem he has with McAfee then you should probably just figure out a way to fix it instead of uninstalling stuff, I imagine that would be much easier.

EDIT: Sexy mask.

I'll forward the info to him.

As for the mask... Yeah I can't wait to get it! My Eddy mask actually fell apart last Thursday while I was playing. Well, not completely fell apart... A screw that holds on the bottom left strap of the harness and even the chin cup backed it's way out. Leaving me scrambling for a screwdriver. Luckily there was a pro shop right there open!

Do you know which e-mail client he is using? Outlook express has some quirks with blocking access to attachments. I cant remember them deleting them though. If he's using a web based mail, check internet settings. I'll scour the McAfee forums to see if they have similar topics

Spyware terminator is very good. Does both virus and spyware search, you can scan your cookies, favorites and a lot of things. And it's free.

He said it was Outlook Express 05, I'm assuming he meant 5... First thing I said is he might want to upgrade.
