Yet, they are the most standard compliant.

Blah blah blah, standards this, standards that. The average user couldn't give two flying fucks if the DOM is traversed correctly. What they want is a browser that intergrates nicely with the desktop (count Safari out), runs on Windows (count Konqueror out) and has lots of features (count Opera out). If Safari is so fucking great, why isn't there wider adoption of it? Cos it's shit. Nobody wants it. Only the mactards think it's great. Yes, Webkit is fast, but nobody cares.

Konqueror is available for Windows

Google, Nokia, Trolltech and others seem to care about WebKit

Standards are important, stop fooling yourself! If all browsers complied to standards, the problem of <random browser>-only sites would of never happened!

I don't know who Trolltech are, Nokia suck, and Google also support Firefox.

Firefox complies to standards that matter.

Trolltech are the people behind the Qt framework used by KDE.

Google is using WebKit for its Android web browser.

All standards matter!

Show me a site that benefits from Webkit being standards complaint...

Oh wait, you can't. Acid3 is just an opportunity for the less popular browsers to high-five themselves.

Wow, why do you hate standards so much? O.o
You are just like Microsoft, cold, evil and heartless

I don't hate standards. I hate worthless standards. Name 1 thing on the Acid 3 test that benefits the user...

Do you know why Safari is shit? Because they spend too much time dicking around with shit that is irrelevant, than fixing critical bugs in their software ("ooh look, we're standards complaint, but hackers can take complete control of a Mac because of a big flaw in our app"). That's why in the first year of its life (when it was recognised as an independent browser by w3c), its marketshare has decreased 0.1%. Firefox gained 5% in its first year. IE7 gained 7%. Mozilla gained 3.2%. Noticing a trend?

Safari marketshare is increasing, not onion fact
IE7 doesn't count, it comes bundled with Vista and is an upgrade to XP. All increase in IE7 usage is from IE6 users who don't know better.
