I've came across at least one in my life, he was pretty annoying, I actually sided with Windows in argument with him just to piss him off
Thankfully, I haven't come across a lot of them, that why I wasn't turned off the idea of owning a Mac.

I use Windows, Mac and GNU/Linux on a daily basis.
One thing that annoys me with Windows in comparison to the other two, is force quit. On Windows whenever a program misbehaves, there is a chance it'll bring down some other programs with it, and it'll never quit from the first time you issue a force quit, on the other two, first time you issue a force quit the program quits, no ifs or buts, and certainly no waits or having to issue the command multiple times.

Windows strength remains in the number of apps available and the number of hardware it supports, that is undeniable. Then again even Windows sometimes fail to support what it should support.
Currently I use Windows XP for Visual Studio 2005 and Windows Mobile 6 SDK.

Microsoft confirmed that it delayed the launch of XP SP3 and have stopped the automatic update of Vista to SP1 and XP to SP3. This all resulted from a problem with the update that will lead to data corruption due to incompatibilities with *drum roll* Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System, as reported here.

If you kill the process rather than ending the program it works straight away and every time. I have never found this to be any less safe than ending the program properly. I never run an xp box for more then a day or so though so perhaps it has potential to cause issues over time.

I'm talking about CTRL+ALT+DEL to launch the Task Manager and then selecting the misbehaving program and clicking End Task. Doesn't work all the time..

He means hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL to launch the Task Manager and then selecting the processes tab and ending its process there.

It tends to work a little better than end task in my experience.

The thing is sometimes you can't even launch the task manager, so I resort to a cold reset.
