Come on guys. This is for informational purposes and for our PS3 fans. I'm going to get a mod to clean this up, then please refrain from littering the thread again. Naysayers beware.

Naysaying should be fine if you've got an argument to back it up and it's applicable to an already ongoing discussion here. Definitely get rid of the one-liners above...but I can't believe my last paragraph-length response to Thom's last post is gone. That one actually took time and thought to compile (I think I posted it earlier today, maybe I'm hallucinating )

Someone must've slipped me some acid behind meh back! I must've been sidetracked. Anyway, I was trying to explain that the lifespan comparison you made wasn't far simply due to the fact that the PS3 was further into its lifespan (4 months) before it hit Europe (while the 360/Wii appeared in Europe only a month after hitting the other territories).

It's a pretty good trickle of games.

No, you're right, but in terms of Europe, the Wii has been out 10 months and over here its library is a shadow of the PS3s. I was just talking about Europe though, and in that way, the PS3 has a decent library, hell, even at 10 months, its library is better than the Wiis.

I can't find any links that have even a speculative release date. Most retailers are going with a conservative January 2008 release date (Amazon.com, for instance). No official announcement for a target release date is available that I can find.
