More complex yet still approachable gameplay, way better graphics, more game environments, multiple leaderboards. As for the name, that's just onion.

I can virtually guarantee that if you ask anyone who's played both and enjoys this sort of game, they'll all tell you Super Stardust HD is better than Geometry Wars.

To me hearing the name Geometry Wars would make me expect some type of math battle. Is it some type of math battle? I've never played or seen it.
