Anyway, the point is Moot, Gran Turismo has consistantly outsold and outscore Forza and PGR and Colin McCrea and Need for Speed and any other racer out there, Prologue's get about 1-1.5 points lower than full Gran Turismo games. The series is an unstoppable force.
Well, that wasn't really my point, but I don't wanna continue the hootin' and a hollerin'.

However, I would like to dispel another myth about Forza being consistently outscored, as its only 2 iterations have so far outscored both GT's that have gone against it...AND the Prologue's don't only score 1.5 lower...

Playstation 2: Gran Turismo 4 (2005) 89
Sony Computer Entertainment America

Playstation 2: Gran Turismo 4: Prologue (2004) 70
Sony Computer Entertainment

Playstation 3: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (2008) 82
Sony Computer Entertainment

Xbox: Forza Motorsport (2005) 92
Microsoft

Xbox 360: Forza Motorsport 2 (2007) 90
Microsoft

Metacritic scores. I would never EVER argue that NFS was better than anything ever created.

Math=truth?

Let's do a mathematical evaluation of your numbers then;

First item to consider is that the Prologues aren't the full games, they are pre-release samples of the finished games. So we must examine the case of GT4 and prologue to get an indication of Metacritic score multiplier;

GT4P -> GT4 gives an increase in Metacritic score of 24% (89/70)
GT5P-> GT5 can then be estimated to 82*1.24 = 101 !

As math=truth, this more or less confirms that GT5 will be the best game ever.

Forza will of course due to the infallible logic of statistics get slowly worse for each new game in the series, with a predicted score drop of 2% per edition.

I like your math, but it didn't really have anything to do with my disproving Pirate's point that "the GT's consistently outscore Forza" or that "prologues only score 1-1.5 pts. less."

Nothing was said about anything you've deduced at any time in our conversation!

So, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is only half complete and is getting damage before the end of the year as well as free downloads of more cars and tracks and online modes and Gran Turismo 5 is getting weather effects.

Confirmed.

I believe Gran Turismo 5 Prologue should be re-rated by all involved.

Forza can kick and scream all it wants.... The 'truth' is that the GT franchise still holds its ground at #1. Period.
