We got the original BBC version as well. I don't think I've ever actually seen the Americanized version in stores before. My wife also picked up Galapagos while we were in the States. Watched the 1st two episodes of PE last night and it did indeed look really good.

Star Wars is the most mainstream Sci-Fi, but once you compare it to The X Files, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, or Babylon 5, the quality definitely isn't there.

I think Thom is laughing at the fact that on a week where HD DVD had a major blockbuster release (Bourne) they still couldn't win in the only region in the world where the outcome of the high def format war is in any doubt.

The fat lady hasn't sung, but she certainly seems to be warming up offstage.
