Whoo! I got resistance today through an online game trading site, it's AWESOME.
I played the first three levels, and it's great.
Once my internet stops sucking balls, I'll definitely be playing online with you boys.

Sony aren't the bad guys in the HD format war:

Blu-ray Disc In the latest advertisement from German retailer Saturn, Sony is offering 150 Euros off the purchase of a Sony BDP-S300 when current HD DVD owners turn in their used players. This is an outstanding deal for those high definition fans in Germany who would otherwise have been left with a very expensive paperweight. Currently this offer is only available in Germany.

Admittedly, the Sony BDP-S300 is more expensive in Germany at 499 Euros ($737), so this offer brings the player down to a more familiar price of around $500. Even so, I'm sure there are plenty of people in US who would love to take advantage of a similar deal. Unfortunately for them, HD DVD adoption is much higher in the US, meaning a similar plan here would cost Sony hundreds of millions of dollars to execute. In other words, don't hold your breath.

In one sense, I feel bad that HD-DVD owners miss out on some superb movies, because of most of the huge studios going Blu Ray exclusives, hooooowever, it's nice because they will get some pretty good movies at bargain bin prices.

Oh, and, the PS3 is great. Simply great. Can't believe I underestimated it so much before I got one.

I do fear it.

It raises my room temperature by like, 5 degrees, but the thing stays amazingly cool. How, Sony... how?

Because whoever designed the thing is a genius.

Have you see the fan on it?



That combined with heat pipes and a good intake/outtake means your room becomes heated in winter and the PS3 doesn't over heat.

Plus, if it were to get to warm, it has an internal thermostat, so it shuts off automatically and will not power up again until the internal temperature drops.

It also has a chrome trim and I'm all about the bling.
