In the US, unless there's a sale, all places have the game for roughly the same price.

Most likely because shops in the US sell at RRP and over here our shops sell for less than that, most likely because they know that people aren't prepared to pay the RRP. The RRP for 360 games is £45-50 while shops won't sell them for more than £40.

Well, yes it's a rip off but everything is about that more expensive over here so it's understandable. Also back in the olden days (circa 1998) N64 games sold for £50 as standard and if you think in terms of inflation etc... The price of games has dropped loads.

That's like in Peru, if you actually get a legit game [most of their stuff is pirated] they were wanting $45 for some old Game Boy Advance Games.

The dollar was stronger then so it would have been even more.

No unfortunately when n64 first hit games were 59.99 the next gen is when they went back to 49.99, I still thing paying 60 bucks for these games is a rip i wait for sales or go to ebay to get em cheaper. I also love best buy with the rewards you earn savings fast

I had a PS1 and I don't remember ever paying that much for a new game, was it different for PS?

I wouldnt know i didnt own a PS1. I didnt get a playstation until a slim PS2 when GTA San Andreas came out. But i do know for fact the N64's were 59.99, cuz i its the first system i bought for myself. When i sold my n64 last xmas i found the original reciept for the system and mario 64 and sure enough 59.99 owell....
