| Just set up new users and when you set up the PSN account, change the address to United States and Japan. My US accounts address is the Waldorf-Astoria and my Japanese address is some other hotel.

| just played the demo...... first impressions Very bad, the cave is way way to dark, the darkness does not add suspense only frustration you cannot see a dam thing. Once out of the cave (40 minutes later lol ) the game starts to look better, and play better as you can see your enemies and you fight other soldiers. Its pretty cool watching a raptor maul one your enemy soldiers, then charge you and you cut it open. No guidance though is annoying, like any indicator of were you are meant to go, one like on call of duty would of been great. With the scenery looking the same everywhere you go, its hard to tell if you been there before or not. I'll still buy this though when it gets released

| The Japanese store had the GT5P demo on it, I'm not sure if that's been removed due to the full game being there... it's maybe worth having just for potential releases. The US store is a must though.

| Ive come to a conclusion. Americans are blind and/or your TV brightness is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to low. Everyone here AND on GAF think the demo is too dark. I played it the other day expecting to see NOTHING, and I could see every detail in the cave walls. It was brighter than most other "dark" games I've played. I have a feeling now, that it has become the IN thing to call this demo bad. Kinda like when everyone was calling SMG the greatest game ever. The demo was cool. It played well and looks really nice. It's a serviceable FPS. Nothing spectacular, but a return to form for the series. Worth a buy for those who like FPS' or those whose 360/PS3 game collections aren't that big. |

I agree with Shepshal on this one, the demo was pretty good. I played the OXM demo, which had an extra segment or 2 (According to them, anyway) and overall: 1) Graphics are very good. The environment graphics are nice and the animations are very well done, especially for the dinosaurs, but even the regular troops have nice animations (such as when you shoot them, in most games they will stand in place and shrug the hit off, but you can actually knock them down and stuff, and they seem to react well to where you hit them). Not the best example of Unreal 3, but it does quite well overall. The caves were not too dark, I could see in them fine, although it would be nice if the flares gave off more light (For a cool effect and also it could have allowed for the caves to be darker, thus making them more useful for something other than luring dinos). 2) Sound overall is a mixed bag. Very good sound effects and ambient noise, but the voiceovers like in the cave for instance are plain unnecessary and kinda kill the mood. 3) AI is a mixed bag too. Dinosaurs for the most part react as you expect them, but they occassionally get "Stuck". And sometimes they will ignore your flares too and go straight to you, although maybe that's because it already sighted me, hard to tell. Otherwise the dinosaur AI is pretty much how you'd expect, well done but not exactly smart, and that's the way it should be. Troop AI is good but they seem to be kinda glitchy on when they spot you. They do flank you and stuff like the demo tips claim, although they could be a little more aggressive. They also tend to stand around when you throw a grenade, so the grenades pretty much seemed like free kills. 4) Weapons are decent. The bow was pretty fun to use as was the shotgun. The SMG was practically useless against dinosaurs but worked well against humans, and the knife is way too powerful with being able to one hit kill dinosaurs, but the kill animations are just as satisfying, if not more so, than in Assassin's Creed. 5) Controls could be better. Movement and aim sensitivity feel natural, and its nice that you can dodge and it makes the screen roll with you, but Im not a fan of the weapon switching system, and Y to duck, WTF? Well I guess I can see the merit in it, most games it is clicking the left stick, and I know Im not the only one that accidently does this when they dont mean to. And the b button seems to only be for climbing. Would have been nice to have a cover system a la gears of war, since there is a lot of cover to take advantage of. Grenades seem to land where you want, I dunno if the feel of the controls felt natural to me or if the game has some sort of helping mechanism for this, but if this game definitely does something better than Gears of War, its grenade throwing (And the aforementioned knife kills). 6) You can find your way around just fine. It doesnt hand hold or give a radar, but that's pretty much the way. If you click the left stick, it will tell you your objective and the general direction you should be going. The environments have enough variety that you can tell you've been somewhere before, and flares stick around for a while so if you have enough, you can Overall, Im gonna hold off for a little later on this, but if it dropped to 40$ Im probably jump on it.

Second time round it took me 10 minutes to get out of caves, I still didn't enjoy the cave part the rest of the demo satisfies my urge to kill. Due to there not being many ps3 titles around, I will buy this on launch day more than likely
