The PS3a FPS lineup WAS hyped... till they announced Resistance 2 then it all just died because of R2's sheer awesomeness.

haze never really got famous because no one really got to play timespliters that much, i mean most people dont know what timespliters is so the hypes just not there

as for killzone 2 the reason all the hype went down the toilet is because of resistance 2 and sony relised that they had a FPS with the possibility of not being tottal shit, good move on there part
