GT5 Prologue - Over 1,000,000 Pre-orders in SCEE regions

Fuck, Sony's servers must be taking one hell of a battering, I have never once with any Sony game seen such a slow download for a patch/update file.

I haven't even played yet, I wanted to grab the update for online, but it's going really slowly... this is without the downloadable version being online yet! The slow update is being caused solely by disc version owners!

I though it was just normal? (In Australia anyway) Firmware updates and patches have always taken a long time to download for me, oddly enough the PS Store is lightning fast.

This is an ingame download, it's taking way longer than any firmware update, but it's also timed out and died once on me.

It's picked up a bit of pace now though.

They're about on par as far as online goes, Polyphony haven't added voice chat or friend invites yet.

Rather than do a review, I'll just give list of a Pros and cons:

Pros:
-God Turismo is back, every other racing game is now redundant.
- Events are varied and they let you amass a large collection of cars since 1 car can't be used in every race
-Two different driving modes, one is for old school GT players, one is for new players and neither seems to give an advantage over the other.
-Online seems solid enough
-Nissan GT-R '07 is not an unreachable price
-Ferrari F1 Car is 2,000,000 Cr., something to strive and just after
-Fantastic amount of content
-Game looks amazing, the cars are detailed, the tracks are detailed and even the animation for the gear change is smooth.

Cons
-Offline multiplayer can only be played with cars you own.
-It's a dick tease
-While Online play is fine, there's no voice chat or friend invites yet, so it's currently Wii level online. Polyphony have said they will add this.
-Rear view mirrors, while good, could be better.
-Not a big deal, but no damage, and Polyphony Digital have confirmed it won't make the Prologue, but will make the full game.
