Default Stand alone or 2nd PS3

Planning to get a bluray player within the next 1-6 months should I get a stand alone player or a 2nd PS3?

I say PS3 unless you can get the standalone for significantly cheaper (like 100+ dollars cheaper)

PS3, it's still the best option unless you can get a cheaper 2.0 Blu-ray player.

Blu Ray will be down pretty quick though I predict. I imagine the majority of the players will be around 299$ in time for christmas of this year.

You joke... but I have two copies on pre-order in case one doesn't arrive on launch day.

Good way to do it. And at least one of the preorders is an in-store one, right? I had a friend that preordered Brawl in the mail and I was like "Crap, he's gonna get it before me" but they didnt ship it until TUESDAY. LMAO, he got it 5 days after me.

That's why I like good ol' midnight launch events. You KNOW you're gonna get the game as long as you reserved it and/or get there early enough.

One from amazon and one from an online store with physical stores who managed to deliver my PS3 on launch day.
