And no, you don't want to do a Super Stardust HD tournament. Trust me on this.
That's the point of having it in tournament format. It'll just be a series of 1 vs 1 matches, so it only requires two people per match to find a time that they can both play. Once the match ups are announced then you just have to get in touch with whoever you're playing and find a time that works for both of you.

I don't think these one's would work as well since not as many people own them. I'd still be willing to organize and run the tournament, although I wouldn't be able to participate in either of them. The basic idea is to get something going that as many people as possible can be a part of, and if it works then we could branch off to other games and have smaller tournaments for them.

Lap times in GT:HD Concept could work since everyone should have that, or be able to get it.

And I don't think you have to worry too much about being out of practice with Resistance because I think everyone probably is.

I think I've seen enough signs of interest that I will start an official tournament signup thread. I'll go ahead and keep it as a Resistance tourney, since that should work best for most people. Looks like getting 4 people involved should be no problem, but it looks like we should be able to hit at least 8. I'm just working out the official structure along with the rules, so I'll have a thread up explaining everything either later today, or sometime tomorrow. I think I'll let the sign ups run for a week, just to make sure that anyone interested will have ample time to get into it. That'll also set the competition to start next weekend which will likely give more people free time in which they can play.

But it sucks so much compared to GT5P.

I'm willing to even hold this tournament off as much as possible to let the game be out for a while and then see how it goes in terms of people buying it.

Certainly something that could be considered once more people have it. Could do lap times, head to head races or a combination of the two.

There's no online head to head, there's no private races at the minute, but by the time this could take place, it's possible it will have been added.

You could always enter the Resistance tournament while you're waiting.

I know you could. Unless you've sold the game in the last couple weeks without mentioning it. But that would be kind of strange seeing that you haven't cleared it yet.

im up for a resistance torny, and a GT5:P torny if that goes forward.

speaking of GT5:P, its been a real challenge getting hold of it these past 2 days, it came out 2 days ago here, and its been sold out everywhere. I found it in the most unlikely place aswell, a Tesco (supermarket) it was their' last copy too. i would never have thought what i consider to be a sampler to have sold so well......
