Alternative Ps3 Controller

I love the Ps3, but do not like the six axis or Dualshock 3. The layout is not ideal for my favorite type of games which are first person shooters.

So anyone else who feels the same as me here is what I'm going to do.

I bought a converter lead, that connects via usb and has adapters for Xbox, GC and Ps2 pads to be used. Hopefully meaning I could use a GC controller or Xbox controller to play ps3 games.

Does anyone know of any third party Ps3 controllers that are ripping off the layout of the 360 controller ?
