The ice time is generally around the same(can be much longer if you don't line change on the fly as often) but from a team chemistry stand point it would make no sense for the coach to promote me at this time.

BTW boffo...I got moved up to the Canucks after 13 games in the AHL. I got moved up to second line center a couple of nights ago after about 8-10 games. It's really fun to help the team win. I love playing center! When I used to create guys for NHL games, I'd create Chelios-type defensemen and have a merry old time knocking people around and taking aggressive slapshots on goal. But the finesse game at center is really fun, and doing faceoffs is cool.

I made it up to the 1st line, but after a measly 2 goal, 2 assist in 3 games I was put back on the 2nd line for lack of production. Which is fine since I preferred the 2nd line.

And I'm a RW power forward so I get encouraged to do banging and crashing.

I also finally joined an EASHL team so that's been fun to try out.

I use a RW PF as well. Pretty fun but I get way too many penalties. I got moved up to the Montreal Canadiens after the 12th game.

The penalties are something else that's annoyed me. I was getting 1 or 2 per game while no one else on either team was, so I bumped up the penalty slider. Now I get called for more penalties while still no one else does.

I've noticed that. It seems that if you turn down the penalty bar, the other players are more prone to penalties than you. So check to your delight.
