PS3 question..

Well my 360 is dead again, fourth one is coming, anyways I was looking at the PS3 and was wondering, is there a version that comes with the HDMI cable and can we talk when we are playing online like on the xbox360, how does it work ?
Wondering also if there's any sales on it right now.

No PS3 comes with HDMI cable, though don't get suckered into the expensive cables at stores. Ordering an HDMI cable online can save you a significant amount of cash.

Any bluetooth headset should work for online swearing, or the mike on the Playstation Eye.

Alright, what type of headset you guys use for online swearing, and is there lots of people using them on the PSN, how's the online on the ps3 ?
I was looking at dell, they have one with hdmi cable and heavenly sword for 488$, 40gb, what do you guys think of it and is there any better deals I can find these days. Thanks.

HDMI - Don't buy expensive, don't even buy the official Sony one. Any HDMI cable will do the job.

I use the headset that came with Warhawk, but any USB or Bluetooth headset in fine. A lot of people have them now. I was playing Resistance last night and people were being called names all over the place. Someone was using the voice changer to call me a pussy.

The online of the PS3 is currently "acceptable, bordering on decent", it's pretty much lag free, but the experience is a little bit fragmented, unlike Live.

I also use the headset that came with Warhawk. I got a Motorola one before Warhawk came out, and it really didn't work all that well. I've had no problems with the Warhawk one.

I use a USB headset on my PS3. Not all online games support voice chat, but most do.

The main difference you'll find is that there's (currently) no in-game XMB... though that should be coming some time this year.

You can get an HDMI cable for around $10 from a place like Monoprice.com, so don't factor that into your decision too heavily.

Yea, the Jabra headsets with Warhawk I hear are generally all around good, everybody I know that plays the game says it works pretty nice.

And that sucks about your 360, I just got my 2nd repaired system back yesterday, and it sounds like its gonna crap out on me already, the disc drive is EXTREMELY loud, when I turn it on it automatically goes to the game in the disc instead of the dashboard which is how I have it set, the drive has trouble opening up unless there's a disc in it (Which strangely my last 2 360s and my XBOX1 all had the same trouble, Microsoft must use some cheap ass disc drives), and worst of all, the model I got back is older than the last model I have, which is older than the original 360 I bought, WTF?

If the 360 does this crap to me in a quick timeframe again (it happened within 7 months for me each time) then I might just go to PS3 and sell my 360 stuff off, if they dont give me a new one or at least a refurbed Falcon. Don't wanna have to do that, but I do wanna be able to count on my game system to play video games for longer than a few months at a time, and I don't want to bottleneck myself to having just a Wii and PS2.

I think anyone that claims that the ring o' death isn't a big problem for Microsoft since they fix it for free needs to pay more attention to this site. That's at least 3 or 4 people here alone that are thinking about giving up the 360 and getting a PS3 instead.
