He said xbox live id was REQUIRED to submit into the beta

Which means you would kinda need XBL to play the beta, and last I checked, PSN store didn't have Live for download yet

I went through the Konami ID, it's for Konami's website, not specifically any Beta or any platform. Even if you have a Beta code, you have to register on the Konami website, making it the biggest, most annoying set up for any Beta ever, considering you have a username on PSN and now another one for the Beta/Konami's website.

i dunno,

I lost the page, and Konami emailed me and said i didn't qualify for it (bastards), don't ask me why (i heard they're only letting japan play it). BUT, it asked for both my PSN id and my Gamertag, and both were in red (required). I tried it with just putting in my PSN, but it popped up a box telling me "all required fields must be completed". I don't care anyways, what the hell? I've gotten into every beta i've ever tried on 360, not cool konami...

FWIW.

When I registered neither PSN id or Gamertag was a red (required) field. I didn't get in either ....

Okay, I'll give up on MGS4 being on 360.

Metal Gear Online on the other hand...

Given Konami's view of setting up a network... there's no chance Microsoft would let the game on their system.

I'm downloading an update for MGO (which was just uploaded today) and it's doing it through P2P like a bit torrent. It even asked me what port to use. I'm downloading from 1 client at 0.7kb/s. This is a nice idea in theory, to get the update out without too much server strain, but what the hell?

Plus, needing a Konami ID is beyond retarded.

i just had to post a quick update.

I've been gaming exclusively on the PS3 for the past week. Heavenly Sword just has that epic feel to me and some parts are just breathtaking. Aftertouch is a lot of fun too.

Also got GT5P and it is pretty incredible if a bit lacking in substance, it more than makes up for it in eye candy. Just amazing visuals. Driving in my Atenza, you can actually read the wording on the windshield washer/headlight stalks. Can see the stitching in the leather steering wheel, etc. etc. Just incredible. A bit more forgiving than forza too, which is kinda nice.

Also, i don't know why sixaxis catches so much flak because i'm loving it. Motorstorm is just too much fun using motion control and in most of the games i've played, it's been done very well. I don't know why so many people bitch about it. I like it a lot more than i think i would just rumble..

System has been flawless. Quiet, quick and everything works great. Very happy PS3 owner. i'm sure i'll plug the 360 in again soon, but, right now it's all the triple...

I've been going through my games and playing through the ones that I haven't beaten yet and I'm really enjoying Heavenly Sword a lot more then when I first got it, then again, it doesn't have anything to compete with right now compared to the likes of Uncharted and Ratchet back then.
