Turok Demo

I was a fan of Turok when it was first released for the Playstation 2 title. I though it was an average game but it was fun enough to keep me playing for hours. I was hoping for the same when I download the demo. The demo is basically a playthrough of the first level of the game. The objective was to escape a cave. Raptors started attacking from all direction. Apparently, 20 bites isn't enough to kill you. The game is horrible, just horrible. It is a generic FPS with sub-par graphics and bad AI. It also lacks the polish of a good game. I could really start to see the difference between a low-budget and a high-budget game.

yeah, Turok 1 and 2 were on 64. 2 is the best in the series so far.

Cerebral Bore is one of the greatest weapons ever.

I own the 1st two on N64 and would agree that the 2nd one was very good. When you can still remember the weapons in a FPS almost 10 years later, that has to be a good sign. This demo was better than Kane & Lynch, but I was still looking forward to the end of it or death so I wouldn't have to play it anymore.

Sure, but you sent the message when I was about 2 minutes into the demo, so I'd already figured that out for myself. I'd still rate K&L slightly ahead of Blacksite Area 51. Pretty sure that gets my vote for worst FPS demo on the PSN.

I didn't even download Blacksite. My friend had the 360 demo ages ago and I played it and you just knew.

i always enjoyed rage wars.... sigh if only they could update that and make it xbox 360 and PS3 it would rock, i could really dig the multiplayer battles over live or PSN, mites vs bunch of humans with flare guns, any takers?

Was the second one Seeds of Evil? That's the only one I owned back then and it was great.

Dunno if I'll bother trying the game based on the comments so far though.
