Not gonna happen. If we have access to the site via FTP then we basically have the site, or worse than that, you would basically have the site. You would be able to put your own ads on in place of Dennis' so there is no way that this could happen.I'm going to lock my first thread and you Walshie, have the honour of making the worst idea ever.

It is very likely that Dennis will not give you his FTP info, as his other sites are most likely on there as well! His ads would stay, as techinically he owns the site. It would be illegal for anyone to put there ads up.... Daver, if you don't like the idea you don't have to insult me dude.

I agree with many that the front page should be turned into a news page, ala joystiq/gizmondo, etc. Who would update the news, however, would be your biggest issue.

My 2nd suggestion would be to extend the maximum # of posts per page. Some of the larger threads are a pain in the butt to navigate through.

If you go to User CP - Edit Options, you will find Thread Display Options. Here you can set the default number of posts per page. You can choose between 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 posts per page.

I thought maybe you wanted to view the whole 5 million happy post thread on one page and were requesting we include an option to view 100,000 posts per page. Now I'm wondering if it would let us go that high.
