nah, one or the other unfortunately.

I updated because I wanted my own pic there. I never listen to music on my consoles anyway, sometimes the 360 during games but thats it.

Why do people get excited over Wii firmware updates?

It's a barebone structure to begin with.

The channels arent. Usually those are what end up with the upgrades.

I got Pokemon Snap. I'm amazed at how ell this game was actually made for sort of a sideline project. I dont understand how to send the pictures online though.

That is a bit harsh. The Wii has a lot of online features, only that gaming isn't one of the best areas. It was never meant to be a media station like PS3 but has quite a lot of things besides Wii games.

cause ppl would exploit it. i'd just get my bud to 'buy it for me' and id save a buck on every purchase. as for the update, i deleted the photo update cause the aac convertor isnt workin right.

From what I understood from Nintendo's wii-mail, the gift thing is only feasible for new purchases/downloads, aka I can't gift a game I've already downloaded myself... which sucks. I would have liked if we could have gifted people with VC games we no longer wanted.. we'd loose the channel and the right to download it (without purchasing it again).. but it would be a good way to recycle games we ended up not liking...
