Default Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

Looking totally freaking sweet. I'm pumped for this one and am definitely getting it. Anyone who mildly likes soccer should pick it up.

IGN just reviewed it, gave it an 8.6.

IGN: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 Review

Quote:
Ever since the curtain was pulled back on Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for Wii, we knew it was going to be something special. The integration of IR into a sports game has been extremely minimal so far, but is absolutely ideal in this situation, allowing players to not only play the ball specifically, but direct traffic and precisely move every player on the field in tandem, making for the most realistic, strategic, and intuitive soccer experiences we’ve ever seen. It’ll take a bit of time to learn the basics, but Pro Evo is extremely rewarding, is hands-down one of the top sports titles on Wii. The game trail blazes with a new design, capitalizes on proper Wii usage (minimal waggle here, with a huge emphasis on the pinpoint precision of IR), and adds a flood of features such as Wii remote player trading, Wii Connect 24 “Invitation Matches” that let you play AI-controlled versions of your friend’s career team, full online with random opponents and friend play, and on-field Mii integration. This game is not only filled with modes and options, but it’s filled with the right modes and options, and that’s what makes it a must-have sports title on Wii. Yes, it has some issues to iron out, such as the somewhat clumsy defense system that doesn’t let you take direct control of just one member of the team, and the fact that the game’s new design makes it a hybrid of play calling and multi-task control (no traditional mode here), but in the end we’d take this design of Pro Evolution Soccer for Wii any day. If every design took the time to truly innovate on Wii as much as Pro Evo has, the console would be in a whole other league. The bar has just been raised.
It also currently has two 90s at Metacritic as of this writing.

March 18 US, March 28 EU, April 4 AU.

I'm sold even if there's a little learning curve for the controls, it looks like a lot of fun.

I wonder if the issues that plagued the other consoles will be ironed out for this version...

Can't wait for the PAL release here in Germany!
With the Euro this summer and our national team just beating Swiss 4-0 i am in the mood for a decent football game (cause fifa sucks... on all consoles).

Before i got a Wii i had an Xbox wihich i did enjoy as there was a variety of Games to Enjoy. Halo, Need for Speeds n Fifa. Though now the Wii is my Main console the one category it lacks is a real good sports game,

Personally ive always been a Fifa fan, though when i heard this was coming out on Wii i was overwhelmed, Especially the part about Online play, Brilliant IR, 8.6 and an Editors choice from IGN,

It comes out 28th o March which is Tommora, as soon as i pic this up il tell you guys wot i think.
Im sure itl be great though.

so what your saying is that you voted for a game that is releasing before the end of the month in the hype thread?

Got this game today and i must say its great. First impressions of it were not so bright at 1st but when you learn controls well, thats when its very rewarding for the build up of goals you score.
Graphics arnt wot you call brilliant but they do just fine,

Tonnes of modes, including online. I can see myself playing this for sometime,

Recently seen IGN uk review n they gave it a 8.9 n EDitors fingy. Interested now?
