Question Red Steel 2... Interested?

Quote:
Issue 26 of the UK-based Official Nintendo Magazine has confirmed that Ubisoft is hard at work on Red Steel 2 for the Wii for an unspecified 2008 release date.

According to the short preview in the magazine, Ubisoft revealed little about Red Steel 2 (which doesn't even have a real title yet), but they did confirm that it is in development and that it will feature "better controls, better AI, better multiplayer and online play."
TBH i do still own Red steel 1 and no its not great. At christmas, 1st time through yes i did think it was really good n thought things wernt going to get betta, lol. How wrong i was.
Dya plan on picking this one up or give it a miss.

I predict most people will say that they will either not pick it up, or they'll check reviews first.

good online? GOOD ONLINE? Doubtful, they'll just add new weapons, maps, campaign and slap a 2 on it

The first one was good in concept.

The difficulty curve was weird in the first one, some sections were easy, then you'd have a random really hard bit and then it would get ridiculously easy again and the sword bits need to go though. Overall though, I did enjoy Red Steel and for a first phase Wii game with no one to hold their hand or copy from, I think Ubisoft did a really good job, it just needs more refinement now and more Engrish - "Broody Gaijin" is just a brilliant piece of racism.

Lol, the learning curve wasnt just difficult it was insanely stressful. Though whats to stop them making a perfect control system now MOH and MP3 are about.

Agreed that red steel was kinda fun 1st time through, though expectations for the Wii at that moment in time were unknown.

I also read in another article that the Sword fighting system is having a complete makeover, which we all frankly could see coming,

If the controls are right and the online is decent, I might pick it up.
