Wii has been hacked!

Hey guys,

The wii has officially been hacked for homebrew/linux, on an unmodded wii.

As of right now, Linux (Proof of concept), Genesis plus emulator, snes9xgx emulator, atawii emulator, Gameboy color emulator, An mp3 player, and various other things.

Things are really picking up pace the last few days!

I'm to lazy to look for a link now, but it's entirely plausible. When Freeloader and Action replay comes out, homebrew hacks is usually only steps behind...

Nintendo is releasing a firmware update that will block Freeloader / Action Replay. I have no idea about it blocking this hack. If it's the Twilight Princess exploit, than it can still be used, but as far as I know all the other Wii hacks have been plugged.

That would make anybody that bought those devices, as well as the makers of those devices, PISSED.

Is a good place for homebrew stuff.

Homebrew on the wii is easy, all you need:

1. zelda twilight princess
2. SD card
3. 1-4 Gamecube controller

soon with the "homebrew channel" you wont need zelda tp except for the initial install of software.

There is a media player available, game system emulators, linux, and a bunch more stuff. Make your own stuff too! I did.
