| Why would Nintendo give me the wrong cables?

| You don't have HD cables. The Wii doesn't put out in 480p without the right cables. ANd without those, games look like shit on HD TVs.

| he is right, you really need to get some component cables if you are going to be playing on an HDTV, while the wii cant do high definition, the enhanced definition of component cables GREATLY helps out

| They're the right cables for SDTV. They're the wrong cables for EDTV (480p). Nintendo just decided to be either a) cheap or b) able to sell you something extra. Take your pick on which one you would rather think.. |

| Regardless TP still looks as fuzzy on my TV as N64 games do and the N64 is set up with even worse cables.

it would make sense that it looks just as fuzzy, because you cant get worse cables than those that come with the wii, composite is bottom of the barrel shit that sincerely wish they would just phase out and make component standard in stead of composite. |

| Actually the N64 is hooked up with the good old RF switch like the default that came with the NES and SNES. I remember an article in Nintendo Power talking about buying composite cables so you could play the SNES in glorious stereo sound.
