lol

Seriously though, if it handles anything like MKDS, then I don't care if it looks like DD.

and chibi, mk64 didnt have comparable graphics to 64 games either. look at the character models, they have 1 polygon, its a fukkin static picture for driving forward, and it changes to another static picture when you move left or right. the game is still fun, but mario kart graphics have sucked up and including 64...
My copy of MK64 looks better.

Where'd you get that image from, anyway? A sucky emulator?

It is weird because the N64 had a sort of texture blurring effect, whatever it was called. Is that the VC version?

No.

It looks shitty there, but it looked a bit better ingame.

I was disappointed by the 64 version. I got it on VC and was annoyed at the lack of 3d karts.

My onions:

MK64: godly awesome! Best Mario Kart evar.

MKDD: couldn't live up to the 64 version. You mentioned shells, the MP battle levels sucked big time too (there was one or two good unlockable). Somehow they screw up the game over all.

MKWii: It will be win and probably epic win. Online (if it doesn't lagg) will make it so. Hopefully they get it right this time.

I'm surprised nobody's commented on the obvious ripoff of PGR4.

Seriously though, MK64 is epic. I would rather have them use sprites than mess up the entire atmosphere with block-head mario and block-head Bowser.

... which reminds me, my favorite character has always been bowser. Even if I did not have any items, I could always jump into the other characters and shove them off the way. Great fun.
