Totally agree, it seems that many Wii games have scrapped the Split Screen Multi-player for the addition of online.
Not always good.

Though Mario Kart Wii and Brawl has both, Wooh!

I meant pushing it back from its original scheduled date for the EU, but I guess that's somewhat of an acceptable, though depressing because it's true, answer.
