Nothing very important, but kind've interesting to me nonetheless.


I was at my friend's house the other day and we were talking about what he was gonna get his girlfriend for Valentine's day. I was expecting him to say something cliche. You know, some chocolate and maybe a nice pair of earrings or something. But no, his answer completely baffles me. He says that his girlfriend specifically said she wants Super Paper Mario.

That may not sound too weird, but his girlfriend happens to be a varsity cheerleader.

I know, silly high school stuff, but the last thing I expected one of the school's varsity cheerleaders to want for Valentine's day was a video game and a decent one at that.

One of my lady friends told me that she got her boyfriend Lost Odyssey for V-day at his request as well. Her boyfriend happens to be on the varsity basketball team.


my whole school is being engulfed by nerd-dom.
And I love it.

According to gamestop.com, No More Heroes has now been promoted from the Now Shipping to the Best Sellers list, which is a good sign for the game itself and Wii third-party support. It's actually selling! Pat yourself on the back, Suda 51. Your hard work and insanity are finally paying off.

It's at about 100,000 after three weeks of sales. Go go Suda 51!

Similar to Uncharted's selling trend, so maybe it'll get to a million in a few months?

lol, dont ever trust anything from vgchartz, they are a bunch of wii loving morons. take their 'weekly' NPD data that they released for january. they were high on the wii and 360 by 100k and 80k respectively and low on ps3 by 60k units. christ i dont even think my random guesswork in the prediction thread was as far off as what they are touting as 'official data'

Ah. Then where should we turn to for No More Heroes sales data? I need a good place to look this stuff up for future reference.

i would have thought stuff like that would have filtered onto gaf by now. usually other sales come in as the night goes on.

You'll probably have to wait until people like IGN or Gamespot or anyone in the industry releases specific numbers. NPD only releases a portion of their numbers publicly, the full numbers are only given to select groups.
