If you meant the weird thing on it, I don't know.

If you mean the game, Sadness, well, it's a Wii exclusive being made by new developer Nibris (it's also the first game they will release if it follows their due date, March '08, which I highly doubt). It was announced a long time ago but there's barely any material or info on it, just some concept art and things like this that pop up from time to time, as if to indicate that the project is still being worked on. IGN has a bit of stuff on it but that's about it.

Sadness is vaporware. Accept it. You guys realize that it was one of the very first games to be announced for the system, right? The fact that we don't even have a screen shot yet after 2 years (2 YEARS!) should tell you a little something as to just how little the game is progressing, if at all. Seriously, if we don't have a screen shot after 2 years, what makes you think that the game will possibly be released before holiday season 09'?




aaaannnyywaaay, here's an interesting tidbit from an amazon.com press release regarding the site's overall performance. They pointed out a few specific items that sold well. The Wii was one of them.

– Amazon.com sold Nintendo Wii systems at approximately 17 per second when they were in stock.

If you want to extrapolate this number, Amazon would sell roughly 1,440,000 Wii units in the span of one day. Even if you were to account for sales slowing down as the day progressed, they'd still sell around 1,200,000 in a day. ONE DAY.

It makes you wonder how supply constrained the Wii really is when amazon would be selling over 1 million a day if supply permitted.

Amazon.co.uk managed to sell out of 250+ Wiis by 3am when they were put on at 2am. People really are waiting 24/7.
