Default Ethernet cable????

where is the ethernet hookup for the Wii?

there is only two usb plugins on the back.....

is anyone else using cable internet to hook into the back of the wii?

It doesn't have one. It was criticized on launch. They do make a USB-->Ethernet adapter for 20 bucks.

yeah like fiasco said. If you want to use a Ethernet with the wii, you have to buy the USB thing. But if you can, the built in wireless works great.

ya i have a linksys router, and I have it hooked up but the connection blows, it is soooooooooooo slow to connect to the wii channel.

and yes i have it in the same room as the router, and my laptop works fine even far away from the router

Yeah, seriously. Only buy the USB thing as last attempt to getting online with it.

OMG lol i can't connect i keep getting this 20017 error saying that Wii connect 24 is unavailable....

anyone else getting this

You're doing something wrong. I have a freaking Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (it sucks) on the second floor and opposite side of my house (the Wii is on the first floor) and I still get a strong signal strength. The Wii receives Wi-Fi really, really well.

either that or my wii is faulty, all you do is put in the WPA/TKIP number and it connects for you, no way i messed up on that I have surfed the web with it before.


right now it isn't working I get error codes on wii shop channel, on the news channel, everything gives me a different error

OMG... it just deleted my internet channel when i was downloading a update........ wii sucks ass i mean jesus this is so pathetic. Anyone want this piece of shit.
