Default Official Virtual Console Thread

Noticed we didn't have a thread like this, and no point having a new one pop up every time an interesting game gets released, so I took it upon myself to make it. Discuss VC games and happenings in here, and I'll put a nice list at the start.

All names are the names given to the titles in NA if available. If I felt a certain title had significant differences in other regions, they were listed as two or more separate games.

Trust me I'll need it.

And to kick off the discussion, 1080 Snowboarding (N64) is being released, woo! I may just make this my first VC download.

I really want Super Mario Kart on the VC. I've never played it and word on the street is that it's pretty damn good.

I also want a Sega Genesis game by the name of "Combat Cars." It was a top down racer that was extremely, extremely addicitive.

I also want a storage solution.

SD card. The games are only what... 10-50mb each? and you can get a 2Gb SD card for like £2 and probably less in U$D

The problem with that is last I heard you can't run the games off of the SD card, you need to delete a channel (assuming your Wii slots are full), copy the data to the Wii, and re-download the channel you deleted when you want it again.

On second thought, you could copy the channel data to the SD card and then delete the channel on the Wii, then download the title to the open slot, and vice-versa when you want your old channel back. That saves you from re-downloading... but it's still a hassle. And with Brawl coming up with downloadable stages, pictures, and a stage editor, screenshotter and replay capture abilities, lots of people are gonna find themselves with a full Wii memory. Nintendo, we need a solution, hurry.
