| It is ready and online. If you support the cause, please sign it! http://www.petitiononline.com/ukgamers/petition.html Spread the word, post the link in as many places as possible - we want this petition to be a success! To: Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of UK Too many games these days are delayed in Europe, for various reasons, including localisation issues, translation problems and, occasionally, trademark disputes. Gamers of the UK, as the third largest world video game market ( Click Here ) request that the UK be split from Europe in terms of video game sales and distribution. We speak English, so we should not have to wait for any games made in English to be translated into foreign languages, and we should most certainly not have to wait while a foreign country's trademark dispute gets sorted out! Also, our televisions have all supported both 50Hz and 60Hz modes for years now, so we do not need to wait for the games to be optimised for 50Hz - they work perfectly well (in fact, better) in 60Hz mode. Therefore, there is no reason why games written in English cannot come out in the UK as soon as they are ready. Games translated into English can be released in the UK at the same time as the rest of the English-speaking world - we should not have to wait for all the foreign translations to be completed, so we ask again that the UK market be split from Europe in this respect. Sincerely, The Undersigned |

| If Nintendo hadn't lied and kept Wii region free, it wouldn't be a problem... if they also just released the games when they're ready, it wouldn't be a problem. Their policy to Europe is sickening, but online petitions don't work, so I won't sign it.

| The problem is, it's not like they can change it this gen anyway so we are stuck with it for at least another 3-4 years. If the next Nintendo console isn't regionfree I'll just import one or not get one at all. The funny thing is the Wii is the only next gen console that needs no region because of the delays. Both the 360 and PS3 release games pretty much exactly the same time in NA and EU and the PS3 is regionfree and so is the 360 on selected games.

| I still don't know how Nintendo manage to do a fantastic Worldwide Hardware release with the Wii and yet manage to stuff it up with the Software

| This seems pretty futile. As long as the UK still is using PAL, games will still get delayed as there is the extra conversion.

| Screw you. Had this been for all regions that don't need translation, I'd sign. But it's useless anyway. PAL = fucked

| True, but this is at least a step in the right direction! Region free is truly the way to go. I would hope all nextgen systems will be region free!
