Aside from Animal Crossing the only announced game I would expect to use this is FF;CC, and they're both BIG mmo's, so..


From the FFXI wiki;

The game cost 2–3 billion yen (~$17–25 million) to create along with the PlayOnline Network Service and was assumed to become profitable over a five year timespan.

So I'm guessing the shit aint cheap.

Some people just need something to complain about, so why not take it out on the company with the "worst" console?

Personally, I feel it's too early to say ANYTHING about this without proper info. One thing to note is that during the lecture, it was emphasized that the free WFC service would continue to be maintained, so this Pay-to-play isn't replacing that service at all.
